When someone is real sarcastic and rude with you, do you forgive and forget? Or do you just think to yourself.................What a cock I have washed my hands with that tosser?

So what is the verdict guys? Does this board create real enemies among us or do you forgive and forget a week later?

I'm easy-ozy 4get it move on.

but if someone was completely out of order then they can SMB! :D

Life is to short for all the hastles of arguing. I don't think ive argued with anyone for years (except the wife!!). I find it better to have the satisfaction of 'not' arguing and letting them think they have won.

Yeah, forgive and try to forget. :)

The other point is that a lot of what comes across as being rude may well have not been intended that way. Things can get out of hand on here, or on any text based medium. A misunderstanding that would be sorted in seconds on the phone or in person tends to escalate on here. :nono:

Yeah, forgive and try to forget. :)

Well my 2p worth................................

IMHO there are far too many key board Minjas about that would not say to your face the things that they would type on a keyboard.

I can forgive light hearted stuff on here, but when it starts to get real personal I have to draw my line in the sand, stand back and work out how much it will cost me in fuel to go and kick their front door off the hinges LOL.

So I have to say in all honesty sometimes I can't forgive.

Imagine you got there and they're a 6ft 8in muscle mountain with just a grubby vest, shorts and flip-flops on, shaved head, loads of tats and twirling a meat cleaver around in each hand.

Still, I guess most people on here aren't like that.

I forgive not because of a generous nature , but more because I really don't care what people think, perhaps people should not take to heart some ones opinon that has no bearing on there own life.

That was well put Russ, i pretty much agree, i also try and take into consideration why someone would be abusive, have they been pushed into it through frustration or they themselves have been shown no respect with the pesron they are arguing with, cos generally these things only come out in the heat of the moment, i know i've done it sure we all have, the world becomes a sadder place though if you allow it to effect you in ANY way.

cheers

Russ I have no problem with opinion,we all have our own and it's not a problem when we have different views.

I am on about abuse that people give out.

If someone's views differ from mine then so be it!

If somebody wants to get personal then I would'nt be arsed, I would'nt be irate.

I'm no budda, but whats the point in letting somebody get under your skin when your just chillin out on the P.C.

I can understand it to a certain extent on here though with traders ect....

Its all gets too political!

Have a nice day

everyone who leaches this forum knows that we all hate each other anyway

i get easily frustrated unfortunatly  take things the wrong way like someone said text can be misunderstood.i forgive but wont forget deep down i f***ing hate em!but opinions are fine and each to there own and all that but il still think there a :xxx: but will try and communicate in a cival manner

im not a big person but i will tell people to there face what i think of them and if i forget il post them a box of dog s**t to there door instead;)

all the people i have spoke to on here are sound in person and share the same interests .......... the Z :D

MAC iv fitted hinge bolts to the doors so go through the side window of the house as i dont want my door frame damaged LOL but you wont need to waste your 110RON on me anyway :p

greg

To er is human, to forgive divine, to forget is stupid.

I never hold a grudge unless I sense a grudge is held against me, but in the long run I forgive people.

It's all heat of the moment stuff if you ask me.

People get egged on and it all gets fired up.

IMHO this is a forum, if I get pi$$ed off with it all I shut down my IE and play some eve ;)

I run 8 websites selling stuff and you would be amazed how abusive people get because they are not in front of you, they wouldnt drean of it if you were face to face the internet has produced a load of 8ft wide muscle bound arseholes (well till you meet them). As for forgivness it depends on what they did, I recon if you piss someone of to the point that forgiveness is really needed then you dont deserve it , after all you would need to be a bit of an arsehole to get yourself into a position where someone might fall out with you to the point of having a big bust up in the first place. so the way i see it is get on with your life and try not to shit ona nyone along the way.

WORKS FOR ME

there is more important things in life than sitting at a pc getting abuse from someone that doesn't even know you. I try not to tread on people toes, and I help people out whenever I can, if they decide to take a dislike to me over the net ,don't talk to me ..I won't loose any sleep over it thats for sure!

At the end of the day, the people who can really upset me are those I love or who's opinions matter to me. If someone wants to have a pop then maybe I should reassess whether they are that important to me. If they are then I'll forgive them, if not, their opinion doesn't matter to me, so they can get on with it. I'm too thick skinned ( read ignorant ) to let that bother me.

Simon.

im with most of the above, if they don't effect my life, bye bye,

and if a bit of abuse over the net makes you want to get stressed and kick the shit out of someone, then maybe you need to sell the computer, cos sure as night follows day, life is gonna throw some real shite at you sometimes and you had better have a more controlled response than baseball batting someone, when i say ive been there done it and bought the tea shirt,

i MEAN really been there, so maybe ive grown up and realised stress is not

something you catch, get given or have to go and find, its part of how you react to life, lol and if someone typing words at you cos they want to act the hero gets to you, get your computer on ebay

and mac doesn't matter how big hard or daft we are sometimes, a ****er with a knife/gun whatever is not gonna give a shit that he ruins and changes your families lives forever, no good having an epitaph of

"shame, but wasn't he a hard *******" ;)

and to put life in perspective, my auntie has just rang me to say my cousin died last night (been ill for a while) and my cousins daughter is getting married NEXT WEEK, ive not seen any of them for quite a while, but does make you realise what matters and what don't

I know all about that side mate I had over 13 years of it,had a coward come at me with a knife a few years ago, when I said to him whatever you do don't miss he ran off :xxx:

I voted "yes" although the true answer is probably somewhere in-between, depending on how much affect that person has on my everyday life.

If I don't have any regular contact with them anyway I may not forgive, but I will probably forget. Life's too short to hold petty grudges and you should try not to make enemies - you never know whether you may need help from that person in the future ;)

If someone does manage to pi$$ me off, as I'm laid back and easy going, it is generally short lived. Next day it is in the past and I just get on with my life and not let things bother me.

The problem with internet/text talk is that while you may well actually say the same thing to someone's face, it is the way you say it that counts. Facial expressions, tone of voice etc are lost in cybertalk (hence we have the "smilies" here  ) so what is meant as harmless banter gets taken out of context.

The forum is here for help/advice on thing ZX (plus NZR help/opinions sometimes) and a bit of a laugh. Treat it as a bit of fun - I still like coming on here - and if someone/something pi$$es you off, don't take it personally/seriously. It's not worth it.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Depends.

If they take my friendlyness to be a invitation to take the piss then once bitten twice shy.

Sory but I treat people the exact way they treat me.
