Guys,

 

A lad at work with a standard MR2 Turbo reckons that he can beat not onyl my car, 300zx tuned to high 300bhp's, but alos kick the arse of any s14 on a 1/4 mile strip.

 

He also reckons that a standard MR2 does the 1/4 mile in 13.5s......

 

How can this be, my 300zx standard has a quicker 0-60 and 0-100, and yet he claims his 1/4 mile time is better than most 300zx standard 1.4 times of about 14 seconds......

 

What do u guys think?

LOL, we all know that the 300zx is a much superior car than the MR poo. The poo has a little 4 pot engine thats no match for the 3L V6 in the zed. The 300zx has proven to be the superior car time and again on the track and 1/4 mile, and we all know it has a superior top speed:)

-I think the stats are for the US Version of the MR2 Turbo - which I THINK was 25 bhp down on the Jap version due to smaller injectors - I THINK :)

 

The usual quoted 0-60 I have seen for the jap is between 5.4 -5.8 standard :) -not sure about the publsihed 1/4 mile times for a standard car - but as I said I spoke to a chap at Satnta Pod this weekend with a comptly stock car who managed a 13.8 - :D

US spec mr2 is 200bhp due to emmissions regs - they never got rev 3 cars IIRC
