I've recently noticed a very odd honking noise during gear changes on my auto, it's pretty low pitched, not sure if it's always happened and I've only just realised but I'm fairly certain it's got louder. Only changes recently are a Blitz filter and an oil change...

I know it's a bit vague but any idea what it might be?

Its one/both of your re-circs mate, mine did this and am sure most others do, only way to stop is to replace them or take them off and put Dump Valves on, thats what i did anyway. I would let you have mine but mine make the honk noise too so wont cure your prob.

Hope this helps mate.

Yup, you've got "goose-honk" ;)

always more apparent once you remove the airbox and fit an induction kit.

There was a thread on TT.net about getting rid of it. Do a search on goosehonk and you may find it....

Otherwise just live with it - it's nothing serious :D

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

yep ive got the goose honk too learned to live with it by now, i just get the sounds pumping in the zed, cant hear the gooses anymore LOL!!!

there was someone selling an upgraded springs kit for the recuircs valve to stop the gooses but i cant remember now do a search and you might find it ;)
