I would go for a boost controller ;)

what boost do you usually run at? If you usually see 13/14 psi and you're using mig tips then you could be in safety boost.

Have you done an ECU check for error codes?

boost is usually up to 14psi...not done the ecu check yet that is due next week when i got the time.......no mig tips i'm aware of

so do you have a boost controller then?

I assume your Zed is not standard spec, then Chris..... :p

Stock boost is 9psi max, but you may see 10 or slightly above with an induction kit air filter.

High outside air temp is also bad for boost, unless you have uprated intercoolers.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

cheers for the inputs...i have a blitz dual timer giving me the readings which is showing 54 cmHg (10psi) flat out...i was interested in what richard said re stock boost only being 9psi....but the stock gauge on dash goes from -7 to +7 (x100mmHg) which is close to 14psi....i must admit i never paid too much attention to the blitz readings befor as i had it set to timer not boost display...so if its true (the stock 9psi) then my standard fairlady is operating to the max and all is well....anyone beg to differ?

cheers

sounds right, the dash boost gauge is useless and not very accurate.

So good news then!

Sounds like you don't actually have a problem then chris ;). That's always good news
