Got it all off as you know!

Whilst im replacing the water pump and reconditioning the master cylinder etc, thought it was high time i did some tidying under the bonnet, so I've sprayed up all thecam covers etc, which will go back on nicely soon with some smithy hardpipes, laser etched Z plate for the new colour coded rocker cover, new vacuum lines, new slam pannel, fuse box cover and filler cap :D

Im also in the process of tidying up the plenium, so should look good hopefully when its all done.

Anyways here are some piccies with all cam covers, radiator/fan/pipes etc out and atm. Thought they were good piccies for anyone needing to use them in future to show where bits are on the front of the engine;

Is it just me or is the customary 'ill test the spray paint on the wall of the garage first' plan adopted by many people? Cause the inside of the rest of the garage is a fkin multicoloured grotto lmfao

Dont forget to take that top water connection off and do the 2 short rubber hoses - they are a favourite for a small crack leak. iirc its an allen key socket you need to take the 3 bolts out. Some gasket goo needed to refit the water conn casting to the inlet manifold water jacket.

And whilst you're there double check that the steel pipes to which the rubber hoses attach aren't rusting through. Both mine and Macca's had perforated just enough to wee out coolant when under pressure !

All garages look like that Steve.

Only cos Fookers like you use my driveway as your local workshop FFS. You know youre guages are never going to get fitted at this rate. Youll never figure it out, and if you keep up the sarky comments, I make sure I never get round to it either :tongue:

Yes these also need to be checked!

Aah, those pics bring back great memories of me changing the water pump on mine.

The words "bitten off more than i can chew" spring to mind.

Your garage is not messy. You can still see the floor.
