I'm in the process of removing the upper inlet manifold - so far I have the coil packs out (and connectors numbered), balance tube off, throttle cables off, and some fuel & vac hoses off...

 

Question is; How are you supposed to get at the metal retaining clips on the injector connectors!? Damn they're hard to get to..

LOL..that's the easy part !

 

Just pull the cable (with force) and the connector should pop off.

You can wedge a screwdriver under the connector a little, if it doesn't want to pop off by itself.

Ahhhh.. I thought you had to pop that little retaining bit of metal (the sort of square C shaped piece) out first (I did on the first connector, and it slid off really easily.. It's just that you can only get to that metal bit on No1 cylinder )...

 

I'll just pull harder tomorrow Shame it gets dark so early I only got about an hour tops on the car, and I had to pop the batt off & onto charge in that time too (t'was a bit flat..)..
