My Zed just seems slow, Baggins has also driven it and agrees, I'm trying to work out why.

The car is a '93 UK Manwell Zed, with a Mongoose Exhaust, Cat's still in place, JWT type Induction kit, ASH Map Chip, Greddy Profec Boost controller, Greddy Intercoolers. I've had the car up to 15.5psi with not a hint of Dett, the car doesn't smoke, however the car does run very hot, after Baggins stuck the conzult on it (no error codes) it was running at about 100 degrees! which is apparently fooking hot. The car has 115K miles on it and is due a Cam-Belt change any time now. The car seems to struggle higher up the Rev range i.e. I would expect the revs to rise faster from 5-7K then from 3-5K as the Boost is at full pressure.

Note: I've had a problem with water getting into the MAF (MAF has been replaced, runs sweet) but the JWT type air filter has been SOAKED on quite a few occasions, could it be fooked and need replacing?

Has anyone any Idea's as to what the problem could be? or what I could do to help fault find the problem?

Thanks in advance.

go down the bank, withdraw £15k get sit in a queue at SE for 6 months while they give you a complete forged re-build - import some monster turbos from Japan..............

Mike the temp was 105 degrees  , the one thing I did notice was that the turbos's took so long to spool , the revs would almost rise quicker than the boost psi , of course it could just be that its a manwell  although my money is on choked/blocked cats

Thanks Alex, but it's not really an option, has anyone any downpipes with good Cats I could maybe borrow to test? Maybe even some UK car decat pipes I can borrow very short term?

I've got my cats sitting in the garage and they were fine before removal. Not sure if they will bolt straight on to yours though as the zorst supplier made up some new flanges for them. You're welcome to give 'em a try if you think it might help...
