How many people would be interested in a dedicated track day?

 

This is only an idea at the moment but perhaps Cadwell park, early part of next year. keeping the cost to a minimum around £100 per/head.

 

Would need about 30 cars!

 

Possibly the 200sx and 300zx forums?

Hardly.. Cadwell park is near Horncastle, the nearest station being Lincoln.. So I'd say Lincolnshire... So East of England really...

Cadwell is the 'dogs' in terms of circuits, primarily a bike circuit but it is built in a valley. it is fantastic, you go up both sides of the valley with the start/finish at the bottom. The track has the challenge of hairpins and totally blind assents like the 'mountain' along with some nice straights. It is not a flat out circuit, just good fun. Spectators will love it too, through the 'woods' you can get right up to the action, closer than any other circuit in the UK, real 1950s stuff.

I did cadwell park a few years ago in the TT it is very tight, primarily a bike circuit. There are a couple of places to overtake.

 

It takes forever to get there from the Southeat because there are no motorways nearby, just lots of single A roads, and there's diddly squat to do nearby.

What about Oulton Park, Very fast and with loads of fast turns. Its also situated closer to the middle of the country, with real motorways near by.

Although I wont have my car from mid Oct to Mid/late Nov. When are you thinking of doing this?

Not until spring 2002 at the earliest, the circuits tend to get booked up well in advance

Has the place been decided? Is Cadwell Park definate? Its a bike track, with very little run off, so its not too far before you hit a barrier.
