May 95...........34mph in a 30, ba$tards..........................3 points

ive got 3 points! had a bmw 318i e46 and got caught doing 105mph lucky i didnt get banned :xxx: i went and had a bmw detox to get rid of the tosser in me.And then went and bought a zed tt :D havent looked back,its a big increase in power from 120bhp-280bhp and a big increase in insurance :cry:

 

i did get 6points when i was 16 for riding a scrambler down a set of steps with no insurance or liscence :xxx: not that u can ride down 20concrete steps with a licence,insurance

Over the years i've managed the grand total of

17 points, at various dates/times. Never been banned

though, they used to expire, then i'd go & earn myself

some more! They range from SP30's to Reckless driving,

Bald tyres, vehicle defect notices etc.

Unbelieveably, my licence is now clean! :)

Was even a ''getaway'' driver in a garden centre ''heist''

once, got nicked! They tried to do me for no insurance

as it was a mates car (MG Maestro EFI!!), but had a

good solicitor. Got off on the ''Insured to drive any vehicle

that does not belong to or hired to'' clause on the back

of the policy, even at 2am with 2 lions head fountains

in the car! & various shrubberies! :x: :eek:

LOL, always been ok in the car, it's just when i get on a bike............i seem to change into a different person.........

My first 3 have nearly expired, but went through a newly installed Truvelo at about 60 (in a 50) in a hire car two weeks ago. It didn't flash obviously but I don't think the naked eye can see the Truvelo doing its stuff like a Gatso.

Just hoping I don't get the dreaded NIP through the door before next Friday, when the 14 working days will have passed :tongue: :xxx:

But in my younger days I had 10 points for 2 X careless driving and a 2 1/2 year ban for two counts of dangerous driving!!!

 

Total motoring fines totalled about £4k

i nearly got yet anouther 3points for doing 35 in a 30 but had to pay the £60 fine and do a 3hr course at a safety camera partnership,a load ob boll**ks but better than 3 points :rolleyes:

Think Ive been VERY lucky, for the past 7 years Ive been averaging 50,000 miles a year in my company car, plus 5000 in the Zed in the past year, still clean licence.

 

Been stopped many times when younger, once for apparantly jumping a red light and at the same time the wheels nearly leaving the ground due to a hump in the road in my Escort Turbo, but smiled and was let me off.

no points ( yet ) been driving for 4 1/2 years now, have been stopped for producers about 7 times in my sierra but have not been stopped once in the zed :)

Just had an SP30 expire on my licence but in Feb this year I got an SP60 for 79 in a 60 on an A road in Devon. Late at night, no other traffic, straight road etc.. :xxx: This has bumped up my insurance on my daily drive by over £100 :rolleyes:

Alex, the NIP only has to reach the hire company in 14 days. They then pass your details back to the police who then send the NIP to you. :(
