im having big problems finding an air suspension set for my zx, i need it cause the roads around me are so crap, so i want to be able to just press a button and sssst up she goes, then when on motorways etc put her back on the deck again. iv seen it fitted to a few cars in banzie etc but they dont say who does it, iv tried searching with no luck, anybody out there help me? :)

Apparently they do air suspension as well...a friend of mine had his Beetle "bagged" (I think that's the term :rolleyes: ;) ) by them.

:D Mines booked in to have the McPherson custom built Air Bag setup installed by Ian at Max Hydraulics it will give me about a 5" lift on the front. He is fitting me a 2 Gallon air tank in the boot £200, The struts to be made will cost £150 per side and the control box will cost £250 (for Front) the control box to control all 4 corners is £450 including labour it will cost between £950-£1,000 fitted. To my knowledge on the 31st of this month my Z will be the first one in the UK to have this done to it. I have had a quopte from Rayvern Hydraulics and the price was a lot higher, and to be honest I have friends in LORDZ lowriders who all get their work done by Max Hydraulics and are all happy. Luke from Z centre is very interested in seeing my car to see how it performs. Max Hydraulics 0777 1628319 or 01886 833253, They are in Malvern Near Worcester, Good Luck. :)

Keep us posted mate as am really interested in the fronts being done, i come over to mainland about 10 times a year and each bleedin time it's a ball ache getting on/of the ferry. When yours is done can you get me quote on just fronts and how long it wil take to do.

Would get this done in an instant if it wasn't for the fact that I'm not (as yet!;)) convinced that the handling with air bags would be up to scratch. I've got a very good set up at the mo and wouldn't want to part with it (even to finally save my front-end from the dreaded speed-bumps and be able to fit a kit without fear of it getting trashed) unless the replacement was half decent. Like Smithy and Luke I'd be very interested to hear how the system copes when subjected to some hard driving through the twisties!

ive been looking into this as well as some of my mates have it already in there cars

you dont need to worry about handling its very stiff they have the raven set up but this is hydrolics and not air bags

the air bag system is still very good and is worth looking into why not get a GB ON THIS iam up for a set!!!

Would be great for getting anything done on the pigs, neither jack or stands go under them

...and you could park anywhere without fear of being clamped!

Smithy will do mate, Max are booked up until August it's only bacause I kinda know Ian through a mate that he would squeeze my car in at the end of this month. I will let you all know in due course what the final result is like but I have been told that any car with Air Bag Struts will handle better than with normal shocks (We will See) I have ridden in a car with an airbag setup and put it this way I was very impressed, very smooth and seemed to handle very well. Spoke to Luke today and he is really interested in seeing my car to try and negotiate a fixed discounted price, I will liase between them and then see what they can work out for everyone. I'm still not sure wether to go the whole hog and get the rears done aswell ??? Any Comments???

I know this might sound daft.....where the fook are you gonna put a air receiver in a Zed, and if its the hydraulic version where is all the hardware going..pumps/oiltank etc

the boots small enough as it is especially with targa's off lol

I'm gonna struggle but it's better than ripping off the front end of my car on a speed bump as I have smoothed the front bumper into the wings I don't wanna have to shell out on another very expensive paint job.
