Just in case anyone is interested I have found a source of very cheap discs.

However it is the usually story, to make the purchase worthwhile I need to know how many people are interested.

To get you started here is what they look like:

sportdisk.gif

Slotted and X-drilled for the front.

....and

slotted.jpg

Slotted for the rear.

Now for the price.

£150 for all four discs.

If you would like to know more please leave a reply below or (better) email me a mwalton@35sigs.com.

Very pretty. What are they made of and which manufacturer ? Warren has already found a supplier for cross drilled/slotted Brembo's but they're a lot more expensive than these.

I'm very interested but, really does depend on what they're made of and from where - if they're recycled Ladas then I'll have to pass!

Sorry folks, I guess I did leave you in the dark.

Read this : http://www.dba.com.au/gold.htm

They are manufactured by a company in Sydney (not imported from the Far East). I think you'll agree if you look through the site, that they definately know what they're doing.

At the moment the pound is very strong against the Aussie Dollar, which is why they are such a great buy.

Martin, I'm interested, but what are the shipping costs ?

(I presume it's not included in the 150 squid)

..I'm afraid the shipp. costs are going to be more then the discs.. frown.gif

SORRY.

I really should have spent more time typing out the original post.

The £150 covers:

1 x PR SL/X-D Front Discs

1 x PR SL Rear Discs

Duty

Shipping via UPS

The only catch is there must be a sufficiant requirement, and the lead time could be up to 4 weeks.

Any people who are interested must pay 50% upfront.

You aren't going to get better/cheaper than this.

Wow..that's really cheap !

I'm in for 2 complete sets...maybe 3 sets (I'll let you know) !

I hope it's not a problem for them to send it to Holland ?

-Eric

I will probably be interested in a set, I think my disks are on their way out.

And yes, definitely interested. How many sets are needed to get the discount ?

I have been told that you never buy drilled discs for a car. They cool down too quick and end up cracking.

Please dont shoot me for saying this. I am just passing on what I heared

Stuart

Disc brake Australia, my father deals with them, wouldent touch them with a barge pole. i made a few enquieries while back in south africa and that was december last year, they were having all sorts of problems with those discs for the 300z (i may be wrong but that is what i was told)

oh by the way i think the discs are solid and not ventilated

just relaying what i know man so dont have a cow lol, i think if you look on the application chart, you will agree with me

you win, i conceed victory to andy p....

i will now bow my head in shame.

but i still would not buy them lol

I would defo be interested in a couple of sets at that price. 4 wks lead time is not a worry for me, won't expand on that comment!

Also, not to bothered about duty as I just had about 500 squids worth of stuff from over the pond which cost me a whopping 32 squid in import tax!

Count me in!

Tim

P.S. My Mrs. is gonna kill me, supposed to be saving up the deposit for new house...only live once I suppose! Shhhh, keep it quiet guyZ! LOL!

I'm in. I Don't mind blowing 150 quid. They can't be worse than the rotors I have now!

I'll worry about the money later!!

TT Tim

Nick

I'll have a set. Can you pay by Credit Card,

This would give extra protection in the event of a problem.

Grant
