Hi Guys just wondering if anybody has had a Zed superchipped - They can chip your car for around £500 with a claimed increase of 70Bhp. Just wondered if it is worth it or playing safe and go the route of a SE / JWT chip and a boost controller...

Oh and one more thing what sorts of gains would I be seeing on a UK zed - I reckon 350ish with an induction kit & exhaust?

NO

Total crap, ask the people who have seen the code, some say it only removes the speed limiter. I have one lying around in the garage that I took out for someone after he blew a piston.

That bhp increase is very possible for that cash - even less!

so long as your engine is in good condition to start with and your turbos too. But stick with the JWT or SE chip, boost jets(mig tips) to 14psi, intake kit and exhaust.

But burn the candle twice as bright etc etc

Oh and spend money on stopping too

Aw shucks, and I was going to offer you my old superchip (on the car when I bought it) for just £50

I have just changed my SuperChips for the Jwt chip and it has solved the det problem. I have been told that the superchip does nothing for the fueling but alows you to run higher boost at the cost of det. I got the chip and fitting for £350 from zworld, top job.

Or you could just have my JWt'd ecu and HKS EVC III boost controller for £280.

:)

I had a Superchip. It blew my engine to pieces and I had to buy a brand spanking new one. Don't do it.

Thanks for the offer robotor but i have a new apexi boost controller on order (and a turbo timer). Might have a word with SE on the matter of a JWT chip (or equivalent).

Many thanks for the advice guys! You have saved me a potential packet!
