Firstly WTF are squeeky Bakes ?

When you say they stop, are you saying that when you are not on the brake pedal it squeeks ?. Is it a kind of scraping noise ?. If so then the pads have claws on them which you usually adjust when you put the pads on. You may have knocked this when installing and after a few miles of bedding in it will start to scrape against the disc inners.

Or do you mean squeeking like something else ?

Excuse the spellng!!!!!

Yeah it squeeks when im off the brake pedal and when i put my foot on the brake it stops but then starts again maybe its the disc ill whip em off at the weekend and have a butchers;)

Marc

I had the exact same problem in the past make. Your caliper is probably seized.

I would sort it out ASAP otherwise you will cook the disc.

Even if your piston seals look ok. I would get in there and put loads and loads of WD40 and work them free. Get someone to pump the pedal as you push them back, and just cake them with WD40.

Good luck mate.

Nissan told me I needed a new caliper. I did this 14mths ago and mine are still fine.

Marc, this could be a red herring, but if you've got stock brakes, I've been told some of the pads make a "squealing" noise to let you know they need changing ...

Certainly worked on my last one .. new pads, squealing gone .. in fact, I was told they're called "squealers" .. novel eh?

CheerZ,

JB.

Cheers guys ill give it a try at the weekend ill let you know the results

Marc;)
