Do they actually do anything for performance or are they just to scare old ladies and impress young boys? LOL

Excellent on manuals pointless on autos! IMO ;)

I,ve got a pair of Forge motorsport dump valves (EVO VII mk. 4) and the only reason is caus i said to the top bloke their what will be best for my car with better induction and exhaust and that in the future i want to upgrade bits and bobs (good technical term eh) he said dump valves would improve car and as i upgrade i can take the car to them and they will change the internal springs as i increase boost to compensate so thats what i have done and they have improved my performance so i,m happy :hyper:

Pah! dump valves - recircs

I be happy if I had my fooking zed back from the garage for summer!

on an auto they only dump when you let off the gas and not between gear changes so there is no change to your performance at all. you do get alot of unburnt fuel going to waste though, my cat overheat light always comes on if im messing about with the dump valves

Sod the theory, I like the noise.

:D

Renault Magnums make the same noise.........

I'll not be fitting dump valves. The noise they make doesn't actually impress me...other than the fact they do sweet FA.

Wastgate chatter does though. :)
