Ffffffffff*********cccccccckkkkkkk!!!!!

Well well, what a surprise, my current run of bad luck is continuing with the nissan....

Those of you that know me, know that I havent had any luck with it since day 1 and its cost me 000's so far.

Well, Option have fitted the new turbos but they now smoke like a bast*rd, both of them!!!!! They are having the car on tuesday to inspect whts gone wrong!!!!!!!

Now, the turbos must have been faulty as the car has been running at 0.6psi as I wanted to run the car in, so I havent over stressed them, I've only done 600miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Problem is, whos gonna pay for them to be changed??? I dont have another £1500!!!!! F*CK!!!!!

Sorry, I am just in a really bad mood..........

I believe this is very hard/impossible to do in practice, as the evidence needed is usually not to hand. I was told this by a friend's father who works in a CAB. Try and ask them for a fair deal/resolution. Are the garage competent enough to work on a Zed ?

OR ask them to send the car to Duffer's place ?:D

Well the court thing is the last thing on my mind, I will turn the car over without the oil filler cap on and see if it still smokes, then let you guys know!

The cars going to Option again tomorrow!

PS. Drove the festa today, god how can people cope with that kind of car as their first car???? HOW? If thats all you can afford then fair enough..........:(

Right guys, started the car up and yup still smokes, not that I thought leaving it on the drive for a day would sort it, but stranger things have happened!!!:p :p

So, took oil filler cap off so crankcase pressure was as good as zero and still smoked like a b*stard so I take it that cancells out the PCV whatsits????

Or doesnt it???

Can't bloody wait to find out what it is!

Sorry to see that you're having all this grief bud.

To the masses...didn't this happen to somebody else on here? New/refurbished blowers fitted and on startup blew the seals straight away thus causing more smoke than a dodgy roller disco at Le Big Macs nightclub?

Good lord, it was the Smith Meister himself! Here's the link...

Oh my god, so I am not alone in this nightmare world?!?!?!?!?!

Well, spoken to Nana @ Option and he has advised that they have my car and that they will try and look this week, I hope its sooner.

BTW, drove th ecar there this mornign and it now has no boost pressure, runs @ 0 and runs like a bag of shite, loads and loads of smoke???

Can the seals really go that bad?!?!?!?!?!?! REALLY?????

Lets say it is the turbos then, by the time they take them off, send them back for testing, and then send me some new ones and then have them fitted, its gonna be at least another month I think till I get the car back???

You know what this car is.......a f*****g joke............nothing but.......and I am THIS CLOSE to selling when sorted as I cant be doing with all this!!!

I just want a damn fine looking, fast as f*ck car that doesnt break down every week!!!!!!

Is that too much to ask for in this day and age?????

See how you get on with getting the turbos sorted first mate, that is just about the biggest expense bar engine work like a rebuild or having internals maxed up.

I must admit, in the early days I went through the same emotions and thoughts and quite a few people on here have experienced very similar over time with these cars.

I don't know many members who haven't had something go west in the major department at some point of ownership. Those who have had relatively no major problems are few and far between. ;)

:( Sorry to hear that you are having such a nightmare mate, certainly had your share of bad luck since buying your Z,seems that some Zs are more prone to trouble than others, just from experience i must admit to nothing actualy going wrong on any i have had, only wear n tear stuff,ok present engine poorly but thats down to faulty after market boost gauge vac line,i know it dont help you much at the moment, you must be near breaking point with it,but hang in there a while longer,i cant see as its anything Option have done (or not done!),sounds as if the turbos were not up to scratch to start with, maybe its something not as major,i hope so,keep ya chin up,better days around the corner, fingers crossed for ya,Tony;)

These cars are a bane when they go wrong and utopia when they are working ok.

Take a few deep breaths, Mark - you know you don't really want to sell. :) Where else would you get a car that looks and feels like the Zed? :) ;)

Mark from the way you described driving the car to option, i am even more confident it ain't seals, to receive 2 turbo's that are both faulty when they are fitted with race spec rear seals and are no different to the other 16 sets i've sold, am gonna do me numbers tomorrow cos there has to be more chance of me winning them than that happening.

Feel for you that this has happened, but best wait and see what it is confirmed to be cos the last time my car drove like that it was the ECU that was faulty.

cheers

Timmy: Yeah your right, I diddnt expect a 13year old car to have any probs, but I think its the quantity to be honest thats done me........I have never had so many problems, all my friends and family think I am crazy keeping this car. it has skinted me thats for sure, used to have a nice bank balance....errrrmmmm BYEBYE MONEY!!!! Starting to use credit cards and thats a damn slippery slope!!!!:(

Tonyc: Hello mate, remember when we talked at Castle Coombe, me getting all excited about having it back, well I was, absolutely over the moon I tell you, I nearly started taking the stock power for granted?!?!? Crazy hey??? And now back in the gloom.....been looking at soupeed up s13's and a motorbike for what I could get for the 300....mmmmm????:(

Ajay: Couldnt have described the feeling from driving the zed any better, I get started at like you wouldnt believe. The wheels do make a huge difference but so do the two 4" pipes........I do love driving the car, havent ever driven anything like it, but thing is, I dont drive it much!!! Doesnt mean I wouldnt like to though?!?:D

Smithy: Yeah, on the way to Option, it was like things have gotten worse, just from the car sitting on the driveway??? How can this be??? Never experoenced anything like that in any car ever before??? When I parked it sunday, it was boosting lovely (bit of smoke) but hey, I thought what the hell!! Went to drive it this morning and jeezus, someone was pouring oil down the turbo inlet!!!!!!  No boost at all, got overtaken by a prat wagon on the way, how embarrasing!!!!!:o

So can the ECU really make the car smoke??? How, I am intrigued? I dont think its the turbos? Whats the odds of 2 going at once??? Can I smell fish??
