Hello people!

I have found a 300zx that I am interested in buying but not sure of the technical problems associated with the car. Hoping you guys could help?

Thanx mate!

What sort of MPG and service costs are expected?

Mpg - low, 17-23ish

Service costs - cheap if you land a good'un, lots if you are unlucky :(

Bide your time mate, and do lots of research, the best place to buy one is from a member here but obviously not many go up for sale. That way you've got a great written history of the car.

Do a search for "dealer", "importer", and other like terms and you'll find where NOT to get one ;) Obviously the search will bring up good dealers and importers but it's a way of finding the one's to avoid. Search is good.

If there are any zed owners living near you, I'm sure you could get a good appraisal of the car, put a shout out :)

HTH

Pete

You can get about 30mpg on a motorway with cruise control switched on.

Mostly 15-18 round town though, but then if you wanted fuel economy you'd be buying a Robin Reliant eh ? ;)

Depending on the finances:

go for Jap import if you want an initially cheaper car

go for a UK spec if you want cheaper insurance

I dont think insurance is a problem anymore for imports, as i have indicated in other threads, NU Direct now treat them the same, as my recent renewal testified - £750 to £ 389.

when I checked that was what I was told.

Good news for a change:) :)
