I've got to disagree there - it's one of the best horror films I've seen in a while !

 

Most of them these days just rely on things jumping out at you, so to speak - this one just builds up the creepy atmosphere.

 

And hey - gothic girls scare the sh!t out of me at the best of times :D

Its infact a remake of a Japanese film and I hear that the Japanese version is a hell of a lot better than the American.

I used to go out with a girl we called 'Jenny the Goth'. VERY strange character indeed....can't go into all the sordid details, but finding black lipstick on various parts of you anatomy can give you a real shock till you figure out where it's come from:eek: :eek: i.e WHAT THE FEK IS THAT!!!????.....oh, it's lipstick, thank god, I thought it was going to fall off! Phew.....

I think I'm gonna hate it. I thought the Japanese "Ring" was mediocre at best. I am a certified miserable f**k though. That "Tainted Love" video is really good. Having said that, check out what I have to deal with (you'll have to replace the asterisks with the appropriate letters!

Put it this way, I was watching it and getting bored, thinking it will get going at any moment, glanced at the DVD player and thought "Ohhh...Scene 17...wonder how long this film is then...." Looked at the DVD box.....19 scenes. 20 if you include the credits...

Yeah I watched "Ring" on DVD and was underwhelmed by it. Japanese can make great cars (and many other things) but films?!

 

Need to see "Battle Royale" before I say any more though!
