Welcome on board.

Take a really good care of her and she will take care of you.

P.S Whatever you are thinking to do to your car (mods, looks, etc) ask for advice first and get some advice.

Enjoy!!

Congrats on getting a Z.

Where in Hants are you?

Cheers,

F.T.:D

Welcome! Enjoy the car and remember that regular servicing and maintenance is worth its weight in gold! :D

Anita.

make sure u rip the living shite out of it, never service it, just put some juice in it, sit back and enjoy...........NOT:D

tke care of it....he he

Welcome!

jaz

Ok heres the answer to some of your questions before you ask!!

1) Shell Optimax

2)Fully synthetic oil (every 3,000 miles)

3)If your getting over 20 to the gallon youre doing fine

Welcome and enjoy!!

Oh and by your name i take it yours is silver, if you want to make it faster just paint it red!!:D :D :D

thanks to all for your replies, very suprised to be made so welcome. I live 1/2 mile from a nissan garage so going in lunchtime to see how the land lies with a full service on an import.

Fat tony - im in the new forest - and b19rks, thanks for optimax tip, was about to ask that one, also everyone already knows that red cars go much faster than silver ones. My other half wanted me to get a red one but thought it would clash with me nails:D :D

Woeeeeee there lad, dont hand over a shedload of cash to a nissan garage, without speaking to someone on here first.

1) they normally work on micras

2) theyre are many places you can take a zed (performance specialists), that know 10 times more than a nelson mandella (nissan main dealer!!)

By al means let them look at it (if its free, which i doubt!!) but you'll find lots of people on here who will give you free advice and sell you parts cheaper etc.

Wellcome aboard,enjoy!you sure will:D :D

ps its 6am and its snowed,garage drive on a slope,and then its uphill,now,will i enjoy this!(not):(

so should i go into 'nelson mandella' or try a local independant garage? i imagine the car is so complex that many places will not wanna touch it.

Dont mind paying top dollar just this once to give me piece if mind that all has been done - cam belt, plugs etc. She only came in to this country 5 weeks ago and seems to have been serviced in japan, but you never know!!

also, being a girlie, concerned about being ripped off - i know a little about cars, but not this beast. knew every inch of my TVR

Hiya!

Well done on buying a silver one! The red ones only look faster when they're standing still:D The silver ones have got CLASS!

You auto or manual?

Enjoy!

:D

Welcome :D

we now have 3 women who own zeds on the forum woohhoo

We're growing............slowly

Hi SilverZed, welcome to the forum. :D

I see you are not far away (another member for the south ;)). I would recommend taking your zed to Park Garage in Winton (Bournemouth). Kris, LazyDay, AndersUK (when he had one) and myself all use them and had no problems. Competitively priced also.

Park Garage Service Centre

571, Wimborne Rd

Bournemouth

BH9 2AR

(01202) 523000

Ask for Simon.

Hope you have many hours of fun and look out for a southern meet , hopefully soon.

Cheers

Martin

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15948

There will be some knowledgeble people there who can help with all sorts of stuff.

There also maybe a hairy bloke drinking 'throbbing chunders bowel basher real ale' who drives a silver zed. He is dangerous and to be avoided at all costs ;) ;) ;)

Good luck,

Seriously, though, welcome aboard and congratulations on your impeccable taste;)

Welcome to highs and lows of excitement, pleasure and then ..... expense:(

CheerZ,

John.

overwhelmed by all the kind wishes - sincere thanks to you all, only found this site sunday and I think its superb:D

Went to nissan main dealer s'afternoon, not impressed in the least, VERY VERY lethargic and apathetic in attitude towards quoting for a full 60000 mile service, after keeping me waiting for 'service' manager to finally grace me with his presence, was looked down at because beast is an import AND considerably lower than it should be (2" drop) - therefore found it very hard to 'think' that it would go on their ramps AND i was the female of the species, so what the f*&k was I doing with it in the first place.

Told the jerk in no uncertain terms i would take both the car and the £1000.00 CASH I had budgeted for a major service to another company with at least a little skill in customer 'service' - the guy was a total penis:mad:

Vicky x x

:( Now,where have i heard this before!:( Total fooking disgrace, not that they are all like that, but prob most niisan centres are!,try the one in Bournemouth, prob 100 times better service,.Iwonder what Nissan in japan would say about the tossers you saw today!

Welcome and enjoy. Treat ZX with respect and he will give you lots of pleasure!!!

to be honest tony, if i could be arsed, id write to nissan uk, but i cant. My way of looking at it is i was a silly little girly in a big fast car (did they even know they MADE it? 'what was she in'!!!) and someone else will have the dosh BUT it was just his attitude in general - o.k i wasnt showing an interest in a £15k primera, but a grand is a grand - surely:confused:
