As Andrew says, H3 or H3C for the low beam, depending on UK/J-spec.

However I wouldn't be so sure that after-market LED bulbs will give a better beam than stock.... I have fitted H3 LED bulbs in my fog lamps to use as daytime running lights. Sure, they are bright when you look at them, but I wouldn't want to rely on them to light the road ahead 😉

Better to leave in your HIDs and find a more friendly MOT tester - I've had my HIDs in since 2009 and never had an issue at MOT-time!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I have wired in my HIDs behind the nose panel so that no wiring can be seen. The MOT tester said if he cant see anything after market, then he cant fail it.

Also; there are various stories of people on here taking bits of the MOT rules and the Nissan brochure to their MOT to show that the car was sold originally with HIDs. That can also be worth a try.

What Tom quite rightly says, should do the trick as I've been told the same thing by MOT testers, so try that first.

Agreed - and like Tom, my ballasts and wiring are also hidden behind the nose panel.... So the wires into the light unit look totally stock 😉
