Can't seem to find what colour the calipers were originally and can't remember as far back as my first one, I'm guessing aluminium colour, so silver?

They were an engineered finish on the aluminium calipers and a plated finish (I believe) on the Iron ones. 

 

They weren't really a 'colour' as such. You might be able to match up a RAL colour to the aluminum ones if you have a set with a bit of the original finish on them.

Yup - as Simon says, they were never actually coloured...... Back in the 1990s most car's brakes were simply "metal" coloured as per their construction!

Hi just started cleaning mine they are the aluminium ones, will finish with some high temp clear coat.
