Filled up the other day and the guy who worked in the station, nicked a disposable camera from behind the till and asked if I minded him taking a few photo's!!

 

Did feel a bit silly just standing there while he took pics from every angle possible!!

Go into petrol station,everyone looks,time seems to stand still,especially if putting in a full ish load,allways some one there that ask's"what is it ,it loks very nice"answer the same lines that i have got off by heart,pay for fuel,walk out of shop,all still looking,answer another bod's questions,then drive off very slowly,as the nova,astra,escort,mg,scoobys,is200,bmw,lads still turning there heads to look,i dissapeare with a big grin,thinking ha,ha,bet they wish they had not spent all that dosh on there boring shoping trolleys,thing is its every bloody time i fill up!:D :D :D :D

Since I've had the car - I've never had anyone ask me any questions about it.

Why ???. Am I not approachable ?. Is my car that much of a shed ? :(

 

I'm very tempted to give my credit card a bit of a blast and get a nice greedy front and velside side's with a wide arse and high tail spoiler. That will make them look, make them stare, drop their jaws, ask me questions, want my autograph, can we wash that for you sir..., Why what a nice knob you have there is it real carbon fibre, my your pipes are so big, can you take us swim suit models for a ride !!!. Muhahahahahahahha , yeah baby.... that's what I'll do....

i like all the young lads in their escorts, nova's ( yknow the little boxy cars...they are hilarious, all that lovely trance booming out of their cars, little girlfriend sat next to them looking bored

 

then they see me pull up, oggle isn't the word, the girlfriend stares even more,

 

said once to one, If I can do it so can you. the look on her face it was a picture.

 

while the fillup, some of the men are so jealous you can see it in their face.

 

If people are so envious why don't they just buy one, I just did it,

seen lots of people at petrol stations, as i am a frequent visitor and it still takes ages :rolleyes:

I've not had anyone rush up and take pictures, either, but quite often they ask what it is. Generally goes like this:

 

"What is it?"

"A Nissan"

"Oh" (sound disinterested)

"300 ZX Twin Turbo"

"Blimey - bet that shifts" (interested again)

"Yes it does" (cue smug expression:D and noisy exit!)

 

I could never claim it's subtle, but at least they stand out from the usual crowd of tuned up family cars!!!! :D :D

Why didn't Nissan make the Z a separate brand ?

 

It worked for Toyota (Lexus)

 

Maybe then we wouldn't be associated with Nissan Praries & Micra's !!

When people ask me what car it is I say 300ZX. Keep them confused I say. :D

One chap in a petrol station suddenly couldn't add up. He served the 4 people in front of me with no bother, then when it was my turn it was "That your car?" "No, I just nicked it and decided to spend £45 in petrol on it...." :rolleyes: "Yes, it's mine".......stare............more staring...... "Pump 3???"...."oh...yes"......stare............."Do you want me to pay, or should I leave and come back later?"..."uhm...That'll be £45 please".......(hand over cash).....stare...........stare at cash.........stare at car..........."*cough*"....."Oh!...uhhm....." Opens till, inserts money, gives me £40 change...!:rolleyes:

yeah agreed on that one. Maybe they should have released them under the nismo name, along with the skyline, make it a bit exclusive.

 

The whole garage thing is even better if you pull up with the roof out, increases the wow factor quite a lot :D

I get asked alot about mine, so far its been mistaken for a lotus, a ferrari, and the funniest one was a 'what is it,?glass top skyline???!!! FFS!!)

 

I find when i say its a 300 zx people go ooh, and look confused, they know they'll look really daft if they say 'and who makes that?'

 

Good thing with the imports is that if you get a hairdryer on the Nissan sticker on the tailgate and hey presto, its debadged!!

Yep, that's the first thing I did. Now all I have left with nissanon it is the engine and the capilars LOL
