That's the yellow i was looking for when i bought my first car, and ended up with white instead. There were a couple of uk cars around in that colour at the time, one belonged to Jez in High Wycombe area. I like that colour.

What was the average price when you bought your first Z Craig ?

Must have taken them much longer than expected to learn the intricacies of the vg and are trying to recoup their labour outlay on the price ?

I remember this car too - I have seen it a few times at various shows over the years!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Cringworthy description in the ad of which some are incorrect, the seller has little idea about what he is selling:

Body Coloured Bumpers         All zeds had this
Electric Seats                          Electric drivers seat
Front Fog Lights                     WRONG
Metallic Paint                         WRONG its pearl

.Just had a cambelt service at Nissan !!  Recommend having its checked as near every one I had in the workshop that had a cambelt done at a Nissan dealer the belt timing was out, even had one with a non Nissan belt fitted from a dealer...that`s so bad !

"Prices are rising and it will not be long before these are Supra twin Turbo monies"
Never going to happen, different breed of car....and Supra prices are hyped to near warp velocity anyhow

Given the last time this car was in an MOT bay was 5 years ago is always a worry and the seller will put a ticket on it..Mmm...

No engine pics of a performance car, very suspect, images in my head of a nasty bay. could be wrong but if so why not include pics?

I so want the zed community to enjoy these cars rather than fall for these dealer tricks to attempt to manipulate the market, the 300 zx was such a unique concept that it needs to be not compared to other cars of a similar age and whilst it is a crazy thing, the Fast and Furious films really made the Jap car scene what it is today, of course the zed was never included in that and does seem to of come off less worthy as a result by followers of the series of films, just enjoy your ride for what it is not what you want it to be worth.

If it was absolutely pristine, possibly, but crusty sill returns, overspray and colander mesh do not make a £19k Z. With some work, it would be very nice, but it's just not nice enough to command that premium.

I'm still glad the Z32 didn't feature in the F&F movie franchise. Apart from being some of the worst and over rated action movies to come out of Hollywood, it was single handedly responsible for some of the most horrendously modified cars known to man across the globe. People's feeble attempts to emulate their poorly acting heroes was comical. The Z32 remained in the shadows and that's partly why I like them so much. People question it, wonder what it is and want to talk about it.

Zeds do seem to be on the up and I think a big jump this year, going on some of the prices I’ve seen. Going back to the F&F films wasn’t it a guy racing in his Zed who came up with the idea for the film?

Little update on this folks,The Trader with this sold it !!! Yes indeed,He rang me yesterday  asking for advice on a lack of power issue it seems to have developed before collection.

Thats not good for the new owner I hope the trader gets it fixed. At least he knows where to go to for advice Jim.

No Gary not good news at all for the new owner,The trader seemed very genuine on the phone and not some Del boy type so i think he will get sorted for him.On a side note It is very good news for zeds as whole that car was up for 19k so even if we assume he was knocked down to 18k its still great.

Looking at TCV in Japan Z prices from K10-K17 pounds so the prices have risen.

If the car has been sold why is the eBay listing still active, and why is the listing on CarAndClassic still active?

Never really agreed with the "UK" 300ZX or Supra being worth a premium, afterall they are all made in Japan!! with minimal differences

When I bought my daily driver last year, the dealership didn’t take it off eBay for another 3 days after I collected it. I’ve also seen before with people not removing the advert until the buyer has actually turned up and collected it, in case they’re a no show etc. Jim mentioned the buyers not collected it yet, so might be that.

Sorry am I missing something here? By "Jim" I presume you are referring to the member jimmer, whose post states that the seller had contacted because there was something wrong with the car that was present before the seller had collected it. Yet the eBay listing makes no mention of this, and, in fact states "Just had a cambelt service at Nissan Drives beautifully".

Am I the only one who is seeing this? If this "buyer" actually exists then I feel sorry for them.

From Jim’s wording on the post, he mentions it’s developed the fault before collection. I’ve seen dealers prep their cars then leave it unused until it sells - especially when they have a huge amount of stock. I can only assume once they agreed the sale, they’ve gone to do a pre collection valet and test drive, make sure everything is in order and come across this running issue. The advert might have been accurate when they parked it up for sale. It’s just like when I sold my full main dealer history mint Lexus hybrid. When I put it for sale it was fine, but because it had an undersized 12v battery from the factory, the battery died whilst it was sat for a month (common issue with those). Anything can happen when cars sit for a while. Who knows - just a guessing game...

I very rarely post here myself but I do lurk a fair bit and I have noticed all I ever see from your account is pessimism and doubt. You're very opinionated on how others may be spending their money on these cars and only seem to get involved in debates about high valued sales - always negative. I'll grant you that this one seems overpriced but I'd believe Jim if he's spoken to the seller. Either way, what does it really matter whether it's sold or not yet?

I just have to ask - What do you get from these posts that you make? I'm genuinely intrigued.

As someone who values genuine enthusiasm and the communities that contain it, when I see the market being manipulated by people purely for financial gain and to screw over said enthusiasts and communities, I think that sucks. If you don't value these things, then I guess you won't understand my position.
