Bones28
Totally understand they are huge and very long, but having had a jack slip before and survived, I’m getting to old for this. 1 Quote 2002 Porsche C2 996 3.6 1991 Nissan 300zx TT Project 1995 Nissan 300zx TT Crashed 🥲 1997 Jaguar XK8 Scraped ☹️

Drivers side was worse, and had had a very crude repair done to it in the past on the outer sill without tackling the inner sill issues. Nice work, great to see the car's restoration coming along Alex. 1 Quote She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible. Lexx
More pictures of rust and then not rust. Ali is making steady progress with the welding. Going to get both wings sprayed after this as there's a few micro blisters I've decided to get sorted now rather than wait. Edited June 11, 2021 by Lexx 3 Quote Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. Raja93
Rust was quite extensive hey - guess previous owners must have used through winter? That’s a clean looking zed I can see in the background. Lexx
The bodges keep on coming. Massive wads of fibreglass and bondo used to hold a previous arch repair in place rather than repair the rusted inner arch and welding to that. 1 Quote Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. Lexx
Not the best quality pics, but look - no rust! Huge thanks to Ali for his time and effort on getting the car to this stage. Really need to get the bonnet sprayed the correct paint code soon. These pics really make it stand out. Alignment booked for Thursday. Then MOT on Friday. Lexx
Lasts bits done. Lower rad bracket fabbed and fitted. Seam sealer and underseal applied to newly welded areas and wheel arches in general. Ready for her MOT ? Again, my thanks to Ali and AB Autoworx for his time and patience with my car. Counting down until Tuesday when I pick her up (assuming she passes the MOT this week obviously!) 2 1 Quote Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk LOTS more still to do. But so pleased to have a clean MOT. First time it's had one with no advisories since 2013. And precisely 365 days since I picked her up. Collecting it tomorrow, enjoying it for a few weeks or so, and then I'll start dismantling it again to move the project on. 2 Quote Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. I remember you mentioning there was plenty more to do, but what a major milestone achieved, especially with no advisories. I noticed the last couple had the rad support and other rust mentions! Lexx
Next big thing for me to do is finish off the front suspension refresh, then start cleaning off the last of the surface rust from the underside and get paint on it. Seats need to come out and pay a visit to Mondo for some love. Then later in the year off to Jimmer for some attention. I've got a heap of Z1 parts to put on these next few weeks - cowls, twin, OEM shifter, stainless fixings kit etc. Quote Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. Lexx
Quick job this morning. OEM shifter rebuilt with OEM kit and Z1 bushings and ready for install. It's currently hammering down here so install is on hold until that stops. 3 Quote Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA.
