Just plonked in the details of a zed I'm going to view tomorrow...

WOW.... Very impressed with the quotes. Less than half what I pay for my little 1.4 fiesta run around.

Anyone else find zeds remarkably cheap to insure?

They are on classic car insurance but miles are limited which is fine for most as usually second vechicle

Which is exactly what this would be - a second car.

And yes, 4000 miles. But none of my NCB added to the policy as that’s being used in my daily - which weirdly brought it down in price

Happy chappy, though! :)

I declared all the Mods on mine and found it to be a lot more. Then again London is high risk area. Good luck om your search. :thumbup1:

Just make sure it's not in the database as a Z31. My black import is and I have to double check everything and change the details of the quote. Ends up being about £300-£400 instead of £100-£150!

Sent from some app that I don't know how to use!

1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2017 - 2021 (Sold)

1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

Cheapest quote I've got so far is £380 nearly double what i paid last year. 2k miles & garaged. Phoning round more today. I did get a price of £200 from One Call insurance but never heard of them so unsure about using them

Should be fine, this particular car is a UK car and 1992/3 so think it’ll be all correct.

Quick google of them shows they have quite a high rating over a big sample base on trust pilot. Should be fine I’d think :)

Yeah London is worse for lots of things :whistling::whistling:

Thanks very much :)

As with all things insurance, get it firmly ( in writing ) the model information, as mentioned above the term "Nissan 300zx auto" is sometimes mixed up by insurance companies with the Z31 model despite the age and can make a big difference.

I had this problem over 15 years ago when I got my second 300 zx and insisted the company I insured through at the time added Z32 in the description on the policy just to be sure.

Sounds like some good advice, thanks Jeff!
