I'm sure if i did a search i could find this out but suspect tyre opinions are ever changing, which do you reckon are the best rear tyres on standard 245 wheels?

Mine are practically bold, eek!!:p

Paul,

£80 from mytres.net, they are the Toyo Proxies T1-S we're talking bout right? Or am i just being stupid?? :p

I have just put Falkens on, with avery similar tread pattern to the SO3's and cost £73/each incl. bal. and vat etc.

OK grip and noise.

Hey Duffman, I hope those weren't Toyo Poxies on your car at Kemble mate. Kentucky Fried Rubber, mmmm, nice

Dylan,

Long time no see!

Erm... see what I was saying about softer compounds being available :D:D:D They'll be reet LOL

For the last time boys and girls... Toyos every time! Tried them all. Toyo Proxes... king of tyres.

Extra bonus with Toyo's too, if you're still running on standard 16" rims; Toyo offer a puncture guarantee on their tyres up to 16". They pay a percentage towards repair, or replacement if the side-walls are damaged. I got a couple of new tyres that way when I still had 16's on the car ! :)

I remember reading a tyre review where Tim Harvey did a back to back test round Brands Indy circuit on half a dozen new type of tyre. His personal view said that some were awful and others fantastic. A huge range of qualities.

His lap times showed a 2 second gap from fastest to slowest (on a lap time of around 50 seconds I think). He was shocked by the results but agreed that it is just that his style suits some tyres better than others.

So maybe the answer is - you are ALL right !

I'm going to sell it, although I keep telling anyone who wants to buy it all the weaknesses of the car and leaving out all the good points(D'Oh). I think my subconscious wants to put anyone else off buying the car. I'm buying an Audi A4 diesel soon if I can find a good one. That's going to be barrel of laughs after the Zed
