Hi everyone, As a new member with a recent purchase I thought I’d start a thread with plans and for some help.

I’ve already ordered new side window trim from the USA.

Does anyone know if you can order new clear indicators from Nissan?

 

Also the car occasionally idles at 2k. No doubt it been asked many times but where’s best to start looking?

    The clear indicators were never sold by Nissan, there are some “Nismo” branded ones around but they’re generally the same product as the eBay jobbies.

     

    With regards to your idle issue, your best bet is to find a local member with a conZult and plug it in for diagnosis. Common causes would include a boost leak or a defect in the idle control system. You could follow your own diagnosis with simple tools using the 6 P’s guide. Many of these steps would be made easier with the use of a conZult but I would certainly recommend the going through each step to complete the health check.

    Original or 99-spec front bumper would finish off the car externally. :)

     

    I was thinking that when I bought it but the Trust bumper is growing on me. I’m going to get the car mechanicly up to scratch then make a decision on it.

    So I thought I’d start on the brakes so fitted discs and pads all round. Fronts have 323mm 350z spacer kit so I’m happy about that.

     

    I’m already in love with how this car comes apart, even being 25 years old there’s virtually zero rust on anything underneath.

     

    I need to order a pair of track rod ends though.

    So after fitting my 99 front end I and driving to a show I’ve decided to pull the clutch as I can’t take the twin plate any more.

     

    Anyone want a OS Gigen? .:lol:.
