Ive got quite a bad coolant leak going on , coolant leaking inside the drivers and passenger footwells!

Is this something anyone here has come across before? where is it leaking from?

Nice write-up from Jeff there....

…..And if you don't fancy doing it yourself, take your Zed to Jimmer....

Thanks for the replys. I don't think I fancy trying to (and docking up) this myself. Where is jimmer ?

First of all going to have to purchase a new core, any recommendations? Or just the usual ebay/breakers etc

Ok first of all you can by pass the heater matrix in the short term under the bonnet with a length of heater tube from a motor factors, buy two new jubilee clips and link out the two tubes pictures below, the tube can be long enough to circle around and does not matter if it is kinked no need to keep the tube straight.

So, and as far as the matrix, DO NOT USE A SECOND HAND ONE ! loud enough eh? Jim is in Bristol and can be done same day, talk to Jim, for pricing and he will supply what you need also.

The carpets will take some time to dry out in the weather, so best to something to pull the moisture out.

Thanks for the tips Jeff. I will purchase a new one, are they the same fit/size for turbos/non turbos ?

I won't take to Bristol too far, I'll use the guys round corner from me who I usually use of (southern cross garage) they help get import zeds on the road from Japan and I've used them for my manual gearbox conversion so they are clued up and helpful, just slow sometimes

Matrix is the same for each model and remember its not a dash out job, if they say it is they are wrong.

Hi Jeff , ive been thinking and maybe would be good idea for Jim to do it if he doesn't mind doing these things? Bristol is 2 hours from me its not too bad. I haven't bought anything yet, you say he supplied all the bits does the job and gives me a price?

How do I go about contacting him and arranging it? ive found his username on here but there is no contact/email button that I can see

Look under the "Official Traders Forum" section on here, he's under Powerzed.

Or simply Google "Powerzed Bristol".

Look where I am and I'll be taking it to him at some point next year, summer time hopefully.

Thanks for the replys, ill look him up cheers

Good man! Can't go wring getting Jimmer to work on your Zed mate.... He did my heater matrix last year; only cost about £245 all in - plus you know Jimmer will do it properly!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
