When you get a fuel smell in the engine bay it's always the little hoses buried in the middle that are to blame!:thumbup1:

Why is it never the easy ones ??

Im gonna change them all as Andrew G told me off about the state of the one near the fuel filter a few weeks ago:tt2:

You should know by now Pete nowt is ever straight forward on a Z

In essence it is a simple job but just a PITA to do.

It will all be fixed and put back tonite or tomorro.

If you’re going to go down the spring clamp route then you’ll mainly need the 12mm ones but get some either side of this size to be sure of snugness.

You can buy in bags of 10 from the Far East for not much money if you’re prepared to wait.

Or just get the right clamps from Nissan, fit and forget!

The pipe circled is a non fuel injection type, designed for use with low volume fuel pump and carburetters common mistake when buying fuel pipe from motor factors.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

New pipes all installed and tested.

Most of the pipes looked like original Nissan stuff so after 20+ years they were ready for changing.

As Jeff said it looks like that short pipe had non injection hose fitted at some time before I had it. Its all been fine for the last 6 years I have been using the car

but now its all new and the correct grade.

I have just reused the older style clips .

Im sure they will be fine.
