Another newbie here, got my 300zx TT manual from Guy Frances Specialist Cars last month, she’s been well looked after and just took her to be under sealed for the winter ahead,

Will post more on here once I get my bearings,

Welcome to the club. :)

Pretty sure that's an old forum member's car, I do recall seeing this. Any plans for it? 99-spec rear light upgrade perhaps?

Thank you,

Yes highly possible the gentleman who owned it before me (Joseph) took really good care of her :)

Had it under sealed on Monday, runs like a dream, ordered a few parts from Z centre (Demon Side Skirts & Zeemax ZM300 Rear Roof Spoiler) will do a few more maintenance related things and then ready for a colour change (will have hew wrapped), possibly also change the alloys, not sure though they have started to grow on me, possibly also tint the windows too and that will be it till the summer, will bring her to Jap Fest 2019 for sure :)

Looks nice, welcome to the club.

Do you mind me asking how much the underseal cost? I'm looking for a place to get it done at the moment but don't know the going price for it really.

I may have overpaid a little but the Gentleman did a thorough job, plus winter is already here thus I thought speed was of the essence,

Welcome to the family dude. I’m sure you’re aware that your car appeared in a recent episode of top gear? [emoji41]

Great to see you’re investing in preventative maintenance to keep the underside tip top, it’s an area that’s often overlooked as it bares no “visual rewards”! Look forward to meeting you a Japfest next year, it should be a well attended meet from the club in 2019 with the 30th anniversary shenanigans!

Yes thank you very much Joely P

I have been told by Guy and Joseph about the Top Gear episode, the log book comes signed by all of the presenters I think so that was a nice touch, I don't watch any TV so will have to use iPlayer to watch that episode on catch-up.

Yes super looking forward to Jap Fest have been there last two years and loved every minute of it :) will be great to meet other Z owners and club members :)

thank you ! I got quoted 300-400 by a local place so will get it booked in.

Will be daily driving mine over this winter so wanting it done asap.

I'd personally leave the side skirts off if especially if you're going to be driving it in all weathers. Z32s are old and don't have the best rust-proofing, especially on later cars like yours and whilst you have under the underside of you Z treated, skirts, or crud-catchers as I call them will retain moisture and won't help the longevity of your Z. There are much nicer skirts out there than the Demon skirts IMO without the fieldmouse vent in them if you have your heart set on a set of skirts.

The amount of Z32s I've seen that have had skirts fitted to them with rusted out sills is on the 'biblical' scale.

Hi and welcome to the club mate!! That is indeed a nice looking Zed - and in the right colour of course...

Good luck with your new toy - and I echo Si's comment re the side skirts. Don't... The car looks just fine without; and adding them may only accelerate the old tin worm attacking your pride and joy!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

There are a few nice skirts for the z32, stillen, twinz, genuine nissan 99 spec sides.. but they all cost a bloody fortune to get into the uk, and I mean a fortune! The problem then is, if you have skirts you need to get a lip for the front bumper, or replace the front bumper to sit it in line with them asthetically.

I think as it is it looks lovely pal :)

Yes it was, Joseph's a lovely guy, definately maintained her really well. Looks like the overwhelming advice on here is to leave the side-skirts alone thus may just get her wrapped, tinted and change the alloys, shes golden otherwise :)
