For sale this HID kit was fitted to my Zed when i bought her i took it off a few years ago because of the MOT situation with regard to retro fit HIDs they worked ok when they were last fitted to the car. I have tried to insert an image which as come up as a link so not sure if it will work (not too good with PCs)

To be honest Craig I would of just left them in place, change over the bulb and connection for MOT and then switched them back, resale value on them is barely worth the postage to be honest, I can only image how cheap they will become now given the MOT issue.

As an example under £15 inc p/p for a brand new set with 12 months warranty on e-bay, doubt anyone would buy a used set, sorry to put your thread down buddy but that is how it is.

LOL - but this is what I am thinking.....

Yes, aftermarket HIDs are now MOT failures. But let's be honest, how many testers even know what these cars are nowadays - let alone know whether those HIDs are actually aftermarket?

Me, I'd take the chance - and if it failed, I'd just go away, refit the halogen bulbs and go for a retest. And if I got away with it, happy days...

And if you have a friendly local garage, who has done your MOTs for years, you're more likely to get away with it!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Completely agree with this. If the HIDs aren't silly colours or ridiculous blue, then they won't know. Also later zeds had xenons anyway? I feel it's a safety thing, I can see better at night with my HIDs in....
