Currently somewhere up over northern England heading to Reykjavik to catch a connecting flight to Cleveland in Ohio. I'm there to pick up a fairly new 370z Nismo owned by the president of the Z Car Club Association of America. Tomorrow will be the long drive down to Atlanta for this year's ZCon and ZNationals double event which should be HUGE.

 

Sadly, Yama San, chief designer of our beloved Z32 who I met at last year's event in Austin has had to pull out, but there's plenty more awesomeness. Nissan have shipped over the only road going version of its awesome R390, a car I saw at Nissan's Heritage Museum near Tokyo back in March. I also belive the GTP ZX-Turbo is also going to be on display. Nissan corporate in the US and Japan alike really go to town when supporting the enthusiast base, something the rest of the world sadly lacks.

 

I'll try and post up photos of this. I said that last time when I went to Japan and still haven't gotten round to it yet!

Haha yes. Just haven't been on interwebs all that much. Having a great time. Drive down from Cleveland in Ohio to Atlanta was great. My car for the week is a 2009 370z Nismo. Whilst it's no Z32, it looks great and gets plenty of attention.

Opening ceremony was awesome with various speeches from Nissan USA and the ZCCA with rare unseen film footage from the Atlanta ZCon from 1995 when Mr K attended.

 

This evening I've been driving a brand new 6.0 Nissan Titan which is an absolute monster.

 

John Moreton's 300zx race car is sat in the lobby and he himself will be taking it around Road Atlanta racing circuit on Friday. They auctioned a 3 lap ride along for charity at the opening ceremony which hit the dizzying heights of $3,500.

 

Some utterly stunning Z32s at today's ZCCA judged car show. I spent the afternoon at Z1 picking up new BDE VTC cam pulleys plus spent some time with Bernie Bilski (TT.net guys will know who he is) and had some fascinating conversations with him as well as pick up my brand new OEM 95 wiring harness and 740cc injectors. Nice haul of car parts accumulating in my hotel room.
