Very sad. An odd career of booms and busts with very little film critic praise but lots of money made. I believe he’s literally just finished a film that he was very proud of and thought it was the pinnacle of his acting career. 82 isn’t too bad though. RIP Burt.

Who remembers the interplay with sheriff Buford T Justice and Burt in the Smokey films? was slapstick comedy at it's best!

Both the Smokey and Cannonball films got me into cars at an early age:punk:

RIP Burt Reynolds.

A massively under rated actor in my opinion.

Deliverance is and always will be an incredibly powerful movie.

He was a man who could turn his hand to any genre if he chose to.

But by far and away the best thing he ever said was-

"I had more fun than anyone else!"

And just imagine if he had accepted the James Bond offer or the Han Solo offer.

R.I.P Burt

I always loved the films too, have them here on DVD. The sheriff though, was the man for me just mad lol.
