Not a particularly exciting thread, but anyone with OCD might like it.

Had my original wiper arms refurbished years ago and they held up well, still look great.

Always fancied a set of UK wipers. Well, a driver side anyway although to make sure they matched, I had both powder coated a matte black.

Main issue was to get the plastic spoiler recoated. Took a lot of sanding down to get rid of all the chips and marks that it had picked up on its previous life. I did try using filler at first but decided to spend time smoothing it down completely rather than trying to fill tiny little prone areas.

Here it is in its sanded state.

Coated with Plasticote. Looks grey here however the high intensity spot lights in my kitchen somehow skewed the contrast. Gives you an idea of the finish.

Wiper back from the powder coaters and spoiler fitted.

...and fitted. :)

Looks Good:), how do you find the Plasticote spray in terms of quality? Thinking to try some on my targa trims?? BTW warm regards to you Simon, been a long time away!

Just when I thought things couldn't get any more anal... a refurbished wiper arm spoiler....

Funny, I was just looking at mine on the weekend thinking it was letting the rest of the Refurbished wiper arms and blades down. Now I know what to paint the spoiler with, thanks Si.

Hi Si,

When powder coating these; how did they do the pivot that overlaps ?

Did you take the rivet out and split them ?

Now come on, do you think even he goes to those lengths...………or does he !!

Of course a replacement Nissan pin 75934-247P00 is a must :innocent:.

You’re nothing but a fraud, I’m questioning everything you’ve ever said now. I bet you don’t even own a 300ZX and secretly prefer Supras. :detective: :tt2::lol:

Did you get some waterproof tea bags whilst you were there :taz:.
