August 18, 20187 yr Recently have had trouble with a misfire, problem was a combination of gunk in injector connectors and an out of spec S1 TT injector. Anyhow reading up on the S1 injectors found that the contact power feed to them was not a great idea by Nissan and came across this: http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1109134/Switch-injector-voltage-mod-in-1-2-3.html Has anyone done this?
August 18, 20187 yr Yeah later models had a modification on the loom so power was only applied when the ignition was powered. The effect of this is disputed. The main issue with the series one injectors was thier subseptability to ethanol, which UK fuel suffers less from than our US counterparts.
August 18, 20187 yr Author I plan to change to S2 injectors or Nismo 555's in the future but for now just need to change a single injector and will be doing this mod at the same time. Seems logical that a switched voltage injector can only be a good thing especially on S1 injectors which are known to fail, as one of mine has!
