I have noticed that the black plastic on the trims either side of the windscreen is peeling on a lwb Twin Turbo. I believe they are expensive to replace so wondered if anyone had refurbished them to look like new by either shot blasting or chemically stripping and repainting the remaining chrome?

I did strip mine down with a Stanley knife blade.

Then undercoated them with grey primer then black plastik coated.

Are the glass trims easy to remove? I wanted to take mine off for a really good clean but don’t want to break anything. :w00t:

If it's just for a clean. Don't, the clips often break even doing the correct procedure.

I just cleaned, primed and painted mine, it depends on the level of finish you require and the longevity required. I made the mistake of using a yellow primer (all I had at the time) and once you get a stone chip it shows, so redid them recently with a grey primer.
