Hi all, I have a mirror folding button on my zed and when I press it only the drivers side folds in meaning I have to fold the passenger by hand...however when I press the button to open them out they BOTH open and not just the drivers like you might expect...is this normal?

No Steve they both should fold in mate. There must be a fault in the electrics or the mechanism of the near side mirror.

OK, but if it folds out and not in how can there be a fault with mechanism...sorry for sounding stupid!!

It’s quite common for the drive mechanism to shear. It’s then possible that the motor side of the drive is freely rotating away from the mirror side when you retract them and once you’ve pushed the mirror in, the mechanism simply pushes the sheared sections together to move it back out again. So it can push but not pull. Take the mirror off and inspect the motor drive.

Thank you Joel, I will take a look when I break up from school tomorrow.
