Space fascinates me and the recent disclosure from NASA that they have found the building blocks of life on Mars is a big step forward in finding that life did exist a long time ago on the Martion planet. It will probably mean nothing to most people but if you are interested then read the report. The truth is out there. :biggrin:

Agreed, Space exploration fascinates me too. One of my father's closest friends is one of the lead scientists for the Canadian Space Weather research centre and some of the conversations I've had with him have been some of the most fascinating I've ever had. I have yet to visit the NASA Space Center at Cape Kennedy yet, but I will do some day.

 

I dearly hope that in my lifetime, we see man physically on Mars, what an awesome achievement and the more that Curiosity digs, the more 'mind blown' things come out from NASA.

Anway, it would be great to feel the excitment again of the Apollo program all those years ago as we push for

the first human to step foot on Mars (and get home afterwards).

My wife's now dead Father worked on the Apollo missions and was a big player in the instrumentation of the craft...I have in my possession a genuine Apollo space suit badge wore by the astronauts and its pristine and UN-used, something i would never part with:no:

a thought... imagine if it discovered that yes indeed life existed on Mars many millennia ago, and in the form of what we know today as "Man", until that is he ( man) raped and pillaged the planet`s mineral and all natural resources to the point it ended up in a total planet war which resulted in the baron place it is today, of course a few of them ( children )were placed in escape vehicles from the dyeing planet and later landed on this new nice blue planet..... but with the lost knowledge of their technology had to start again and formed earthlings.... be so ironic if we were in fact the Martian`s and were aliens on this planet we call Earth....lol
