Hey everyone , as you know i was picking up my first z on sunday and you all ask for pictures here they are. she's a UK spec TT factory manual targa top in sapphire blue , with full leather interior , and even has the factory panasonic car telephone. also she is 100% completely standard and untouched. and has the original nissan service books and holder , with the original 300zx key which is sadly broken  :crying:

i really can't wait to driver it and enjoy , and i'd love to come to some of the 300zx meets and meeting the people behind the forum names =].

Welcome to the club Tom. The car looks great. My first one was a stock UK spec in that blue too. I do miss that car.

I love the phone that's been added. Class that!

Best idea, start with the essentials.

No don`t do it ! get hold of a set of nice cheap Jap spec springs or lowered after market one`s if you must, must be hundreds of them around, and fit new shocks at the same time, the UK springs are too high and soft at the rear especially, coil overs are best suited to track, I know Mister R and D2 have kits and many here have them fitted but as the car is so original it would be a shame to deviate from that, in fact the more stock now the greater interest you will find the car has.

You can customise the setup of your coilovers so they aren’t suited for track which is exactly what I did with my Meister R kit. By opting for a reduced spring rate front and rear, the setup I have now is significantly more comfortable than the lowering springs and KYB shocks that I removed them for. So much so in fact that the car rolls like mad in corners! Setting my Stillen ARB to the hardest setting has countered that issue so now it corners (reasonably) flat but it glides so much nicer over even the poorest condition roads.

I think Jeff has the right idea for such a stock car. Gary’s yellow UK is sitting on stock suspension I believe with 19” wheels and it looks great.

Z32s have coilovers as standard... yes I know I’m being a knob but it’s not an untruth. As Joel says it depends on what you buy and how you configure that purchase. Most aftermarket height adjustable coilovers have overly stiff spring rates, I think my Tiens were like 13k at the front, ridiculous. Exchanging the springs to a lower rate changed the car completely.

You should try the version R coilovers then - most aftermarket ones aren't nearly as stiff!

That's what I did. Stillen arbs set to stiff for cornering, meister r coilovers set fairly soft and (relatively) very high. Comfort and performance.
