Anyone going (or been) to the London Classic Motor Show at Excel this year....?

I went today - and thought it was a great day out - I shall get some pics up over the weekend.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

It was indeed - but unlike Birmingham in November, they charged extra to visit the motorcycle show..... And another £5 for a program!

...I would post more - I have some great shots of a 1971 Skyline GTR, Mk2 Jag and Lancia Stratos drifting around a small roundabout....

.....But the damn software won't let me upload them.....

I went last year. Good show but I was disappointed about the lack of virtually a single Japanese car.

That’s a shame, I also went on Friday we could’ve had a catch up! It wasn’t a bad show but I didn’t think it was great either, quite an expensive day out with its location. The show is in its infancy at the moment so I’d assume I hope it’ll go from strength to strength and increase the floor space in the coming years.

Thanks for sharing the pictures Richard. The show doesn't look very busy compared to say the NEC show?

Cheers Andrew - and yes; you're right.

Possibly because it was a Friday - I know the NEC is much more busy on Saturday/Sunday - but it did seem quieter overall...!

We only paid £20 for our tickets - I believe the full price was £40, if we'd paid that, then I'd certainly not have thought it so good!

It was just the one hall, granted, so I never expected it to be in the same league as the NEC. We got there as it opened, had a stroll round half of it, had breakfast, then saw the rest - plus the 11am and 1pm parades on the avenue; then left around 3pm. Had to get our money's worth...

I went to the bike show Saturday, and the car show didn't look very busy as we went past the doors.

Certainly would not have wanted to pay full price for that one, compared to the NEC.

I wondered if you'd stroll into either show Craig - considering where you work, you could pop in during your lunch hour...
