Oi, less of the attitude. If you can't be bothered to write a legible sentence......

Your idle is controlled by both your idle control valve and your TPS. Make sure those are adjusted. You shouldn't need to adjust the timing gear for idle.

"Your tuner" asked "you" to adjust "your cam gears". Time to pay more, or find a new tuner pal.
He says only intake came gears 2 degree advice [emoji28] bigger turbos and built engine

What exactly are you confused about? If you’ve got the adjustable cams you need to move them to achieve an advance or retardation of the cam. There will be graduations on the gear.

Personally I’d leave the upper cam covers off set it to zero and let your tuner set the timing during the process, guessing you want 2 degrees is useless.

I don’t know, I’ve not done it to a VG. The engine I did it too had a wild cam profile and idled like a bag of crap. But from what I understand your cams aren’t that wild. I wouldn’t of thought idle stability will be that much effected, if you care about that are you doing the right modification?

I don’t really understand what you want.

Cams are a relatively uncommon mod on these engines, generally people will just use more boost and encourage other external breathing mods. Maybe ported heads. Larger valves, extra displacement and cams are generally not included in most peoples builds as you can achieve strong power without resorting to such expense. It’s not like tuning an NA.

All your doing by advancing just the intake cam is adjusting the valve overlap.

Advancing the intake valve opening will increase the valve overlap which in turn make idle worse, not better.

Find yourself a new tuner, he’s talking pish
