Is there a general rule-of-thumb equation to roughly how much ride height will affect camber on the Z32? Appreciate it's not very scientific as the true values will only come out via full alignment, I'm just looking at various after market suspension components and their limitations.

If there is, I’m not aware of one.

Limitations of what? Range of adjustment?

Yes. I'm going to take off the Z1 Upper control arms and will be fitting the Whiteline eccentric adjustment bushings to the stock arms. Their range is half a degree. Now I could also couple that with a 300degree shim kit, but not sure. I want to drop the front about 5-10mm further and not sure whether they have the depth of range.

The 300 degree camber correction kit shims are 0.3" (7.62mm) thick to correct a 0.8" drop (normally used with Eibach springs). This

assumes that the stock camber setup is within factory spec. to start with (-1°35' to -0°05').

The frank de-ruiter camber correction kit (which I use) can be shimmed to correct a wider range camber adjustments. For the Eibach

springs I installed I used 4+2+1mm shims which was right for my car. The kit is no longer available to buy.

This is the scan of the FDR install instructions which included a guide table for the various shim combos vs positive correction.

Why you getting rid of them Si?

Want a maintenance free more compliant ride.

I thought that’s why you swapped them for the Rose Jointed type... still not goods enough?

When mine was modestly lowered on the Bilsteins I had stock arms without and mods and camber certainly wasn’t excessive. I couldn’t do that now, I set the adjustable ones to same length as the stock arms to give me a starting point. The rear in particular was a joke, I went from virtually no camber and a 10mm, arch to tyre gap on the horizontal to a gap I could virtually fit my fist in!

They're much better than those awful rose jointed units (sorry), but they still require maintenance, they get a little creaky and they rub slightly on the carrier bracket. I want NVH at near stock levels, I don't want or need that amount of 'race spec' on UK roads. On the move they're fine, but at slow speeds, I want the car to be quiet and comfortable.

No need to apologise Si, our cars are very different in thier functionality and aims. Slight discomfort at times and noise/vibration transfer are pretty low down for someone with no stereo.

I'd probably get really annoyed after 5 minutes driving your car. You'd probably get bored driving mine.
