Lakes Weekend @ Fat Lamb Inn - May 26th to 28th 2018

As discussed on the club weekends thread, please use this thread to sign up and discuss.

Saturday 26th to Monday 28th May

The proposed agenda for Sunday will be:

2-3 hour drive and stop for lunch.

1 hour drive and stop at Lakeland Museum for a couple of hours.

1.5 hour drive back to hotel.

Will update the proposed route on maps later, but the plan is to follow Tony's suggestion.

However, as Tony advises, this will depend heavily on weather, as the mountain passes may not be fun in the wet in a zed.

So we may spend more time at the museum, or take more main road routes.

Depending on what time people arrive Saturday, then we can arrange something for the afternoon/evening if there is any interest.

Depending on what time people plan to leave Monday, then we can arrange something for the morning if there is any interest.

The Fat Lamb, Crossbank, Ravenstonedale, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, CA17 4LL

Please call Paul directly on 015396 23242 to book yourselves in, the club is not handling the bookings.

There is a group deal for 9 or more rooms, but no more than 1/3 of rooms booked can be singles.

The deal includes breakfast and evening meal for both days. The evening meal is from a special menu, not quite the main menu.

£250 for 2 people for 2 nights.

£155 for single room for 2 nights.

There are 12 rooms, but if we run out we can look for an additional venue close by as well.

What he said.....

…..I am under no illusion that my Zed will be ready in time - so I'll be heading up in the Merc on this occasion.

It should still be a good weekend, even without the Zed!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Me & Scott are gona come up on the Sunday. Would it be possible to have a second meeting point between Windermere & Ambleside. I do know that part of the lakes quite well so I can find somewhere.

LOL - I have resisted WhatsApp for some time now, so I'm with you Ian...

But back to the plot; Julia is working Saturday morning, so I shall pick her up from the salon at 1pm in Aylesbury and head straight up to The Fat Lamb. It should not take much more than three hours - however expect us around 5pm, allowing for bank holiday traffic....11

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

am debating whether to just ride up and forget the car, as the zed is not running.

but that means following round on bikes or cadging lifts for 3 people

LOL..... Love to help mate, but being zedless too, I only have a two seater this weekend...

As you get to Ambleside theres a fork in the road, if you turn left there you'll see Ambleside pier if we can meet in the car park there?

The answers to your questions:

It's a messaging app, simple as that. There is no social media or any of that, it's just like texting but as an internet app.

All you do is install it (search for it on the store and download), then verify your phone number usually via text and set your name.

Then you can message anyone in your contacts if they have WhatsApp, or have group conversations such as this one.

There is picture sharing etc etc.

Hope that helps you old lot [emoji14]

What's up with the z?

I’ll post up on my thread later, but I’m more than a little gutted
