Brought some eBay HIDS H3 for my dipped beam. But after having a read on some posts they say that JDM is H3C.

 

I have JDM so I am guessing I can't use the H3?

H3 and H3c refer to the original halogen bulb fitment only - both have the same shape base, so when upgrading to HIDs you can fit an H3 kit to either UK or J-spec....:cool:

The differences are only as far as the length of the bulb itself. One is slightly longer than the other which reflects the depth of the globe on both JDM and Euro models.

 

As above, they both fit and work, but it's always advisable to fit the correct one for optimum focus.

H3 Bulb as fitted to UK spec zed is a single wired connection that is eathed through the base plate

 

H3C bulbs as fitted to import zeds is a twin spade connection bulb with no fly wire and requires both the live and earth to be directly connected.

 

The two bulbs share the same base plate and the dimension from the base plate forward.

 

When fitting HID bulb, the base plate size and shape is what determines the fitting application and in the case H3 is correct, additional cable and connections are included to make this all work.
