Can I ask, warning lights do they get a pass with an advisory or fail, is there any difference between light types?

Engine management light.......pass with warning or fail

ABS Light ......................... pass with warning or fail

Air bag light ...................... pass with warning or fail

Notice some cars for sale on the mot checker are getting passes with lights on, but was sure some of them became fails, or I have I got it wrong?

Engine check light on = pass

Abs warning lamp on = fail

Airbag warning light on = fail (if it doesnt illuminate at all its a pass and advise).

Interesting - thanks Chris...!

So technically, one could remove the bulb from the airbag light and just get a pass with an advisory...?

And don't reply mate - no need from my perspective - plus, I'd not wish for you to jeopardise your reputation by condoning such behaviour on a public interweb sight...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Removing the bulb can involve too much effort, the most efficient method of disabling the airbag light is with a 3/32” drill bit!!

The wifes TT has an engine warning light due to a failing o2 sensor, that was an advise. My old audi 80 coupe had an abs light and that was a fail.
