Hi folks,

just a quick intro, my name is Henry and I took ownership of a MX5 Mk1 with 300zx engine, which is really great. The car needs a some work , but engine is running smooth , so looking forward to having fun...

VG30 in a 300zx is cramped. Putting it in a smaller car would give me nightmares :scared:

Ive never owned or driven a 300zx , only just admired them for a distance. But here I own the best of both worlds.... . Im a total novice when it comes to these engine , so expect a few questions. The first as you can probably note is that it needs a clean-up. Im planning on removing the pulleys and get them cleaned. What the best process for this would you get them sandblasted?

Welcome. I bet that's tight in there, what insurance group do they put that in.

Very nice, thats where Im heading. Getting covers might be the better option. Will have to shop around to find them

They would normally have a plastic shroud that covers the pulleys rather than trying to make them look pretty:

Haha wow you'll need to be an expert in keyhole surgery to get down the sides of that one!

Oh and welcome!

Definitely , it looks like they had to modify(cut) the manifolds to get it to fit.
