Fitting a Big Brake Setup

Fitting my big brake setup and managed to do the fronts easy enough but having issues with the back.

The biggest being the brake dust shield for the OEM brakes.

As you need the inner part of the shield for the handbrake what does everyone do in terms of separating the shield or trimming it back ?

Its looks spot welded so i'm presuming you just drill out the welds or do people just cut off the larger piece ?

On mine I just cut off the small "return" that would foul on the rear of the new disk if left on. So you are left with the OEM back plate still in situ. Hope that helps?

I may have photos on my phone if you need anything else.

Think they're just held on with friction, they're pressed on, least mine was from memory. I took mine off.
