Hello everyone.

So I wondered what you guys are running in terms of rear suspension set ups? As I have upper camber arms, and although given me quite a bit more camber than stock, I'm limited and my rear set up isn't level regardless of how 3 attempts to adjust the camber arms to be equal.

Before I got to a garage and have the set up properly aligned on a hunter machine, I wanted to make sure I have everything I need in place to get the set up just as I want it.

Poor screen grab shot of my set up for now.

Thanx in advance.

Eibach springs are not 35mm, they're 20mm.

Is this a road car??

If so then -1.35 is at the top end of the Specified range

That is plenty on a road going car and still works well on track. Im running very close to that figure on my track focused road car.

Any more negative camber and you will simply wear tyres unevenly and lose contact patch area leading to premature loss of traction.

All IMHO of course!

Ha ha ha.

Thanx guys.

This is a road car, way to low, slow and heavy to go on track.

But this is where I guess I'm going to split opinions.

I have 2 sets of wheels

I'm going to run and at the rear one set is about 20mm different, so I'm setting up for the more aggressive set up and then spacing the other one to suit.

Just wanted to see people's set up and hear opinions, but I guess non of you have ran that extreme.

What exactly do you want to achieve?

If I understand correctly your asking how to run excessive camber to allow you to "fit" (I use that term very losey) a set of wheels that don't fit properly?

Ha ha ha.

Nothing extreme about using spacers. Provided they are good quality .

Yeah and no! I can make the wheels fit fine, but that's a bit "Boring" and I'm not really into keeping it stock. However you are correct, i do probably need to run "excessive" camber to fit the rears on how I want them to fit.

So my question is, apart from camber arms, have you guys done anything else? And I guess the answer is probably NO, as no one on here is running the excessive camber I am referring to.

H&R always and forever. No other spacers/adapters will do.

Maybe it's your arms as my car had stupid camber before I corrected it. Lowering the car a lot will cause silly camber on stock arms. I wish I had pictures. I hope your not going this far;

It's been done, rightly or wrongly. It's just not the fashion with these cars, more the sub 100hp hatch back crew. Here's an article on of the cars above.

Ha ha, trust me, I've beeen around the block when it comes to modified cars, and I would like to think I can do it tastefully.

Not going that far, but I do like to have the car set up for form over function, as realistically it's just an ornament, as it's neither my daily, or my family car.

I'll get it set up a bit better over the weekend (as every corner right now is different in terms of camber/toe) and update you guys on here as well as my journal and hopefully you guys will appreciate the approach.

PIc of the car and the wheels which "fit" but will need spacers after set up.
