300zx brake caliper extension brackets for running 350z discs

Hi guys,

I know I can buy these from America , but I need them for the 1st weekend of June and if ordered them today I won't get them in time.

Cheers gents ,

Are you on about the caliper relocation kits?

I am indeed alic , the bits that bolt to the hub to move the caliper out to except the 350z discs

Do yourself a favour and save your dosh for a pair of Brembos off a 350z. You don't get proper pad contact and your still relying on the same manky old calipers.

I wouldn't waste ones time with those, I'd go straight for the R33/R34 GTR calipers, rears will fit then.

i hear you gents , I have brembos on my 350z already and they are good hot or cold and not much fade on the track .

I will go there at some point but not yet .i have a spare set of 350z discs already .....so I'd like to try this with my rebuilt calipers .

Cheers guys

Negative. In fact all 3 are subtly different.

The 350z and R34 calipers require the mounting holes reaming out a few thou all round.

The 350z rear lug pattern is different making them a no-no.

The 350z has a different offset to the R33/R34 so requires different disks.

The R33 is technically the only one that mounts up all round with no modifications (excluding the shield on the inside of the disk).

All 3 also need the original bolts for the calipers you're fitting as the Z32 bolts are a different thread pitch.

Alright  I was actually referring to the fronts and the caliper body. As you say there are subtle differences to the legs to accommodate different disc offsets etc. The 350 ones are far easier to source, being from a far more common car and newer. R34 ones command the Skyline tax and R33 ones are getting on. Having to open up the mounting hole is a minor issue for the saving occurred for the same performance.

Because they aren't a massive step up most find they are acceptable, bias wise (the Skyline/350) to not require the rears. However as you point out the skyline ones actually will fit here where as 350 ones don't, without annoying modification. The way Si said "I wouldn't waste ones time with those" (since when was he the queen? :D) implied they were inferior to the Skyline ones which of corse they aren't.
