I am having my Aircon charged tomorrow. However I do not have my inlet rubber intake pipes fitted. Will my car tick over whilst the Aircon is charged without them in place? Car won't be on the road until June so obviously they will be refitted by then.

I think you can just unplug the MAF and run it in limp mode as mine got confused when the MAF saw no air. But that may be an oddity I encountered.

Engine doesn't need to run to charge AC gas, but if you want to check the AC works then obviously it will need to run. Has your AC pipework been left open at any time? If so the your dryer is probably shot.

new dryer, new condensor, then the system was pressure tested and vacuumed
