Got this 1990 twin turbo manual for £250 last year and been slowly doing bits to it when i get a chance

 

Looked like this when i got it

 

 

 

 

Bought a dent puller for in work and pulled the dent out on the quarter

 

 

 

While the filler was out i sorted the bonnet too

 

 

Swapped the bent lower arm a few days ago

 

 

 

Car wouldnt rev over 3k as its missing the intercooler so bodged up some pipework inplace so itll come out of limp mode

 

Sold the wheels off the car and while putting it on stands i saw this pipe

 

 

Im guessing something to do with hicas?

 

The new wheels to be fitted when the new nuts turn up

A pipe from outside that routes into the stock exhaust to get better emissions. Cheating really :P

 

You can remove it or forget about it

Ahh like an egr

That as Ali pointed out is part of the AIV system. You will likely have the EGR as well. Make sure you remove the AIV guff from the bay etc, I can see that some one will have left it uncapped after changing to an aftermarket exhaust. How to here;

Yep drivers wings already off saw some rust on pass side so thats coming off too

Fitted the new wheels today and took it for a quick drive round the yard to check for any rubbing issues and found the car to have very little power

 

 

Need a spacer on the front as wheels are just touching the caliper only enough to scrape paint but its enough
